My Approach

I offer a flexible approach to teaching which will be dependent on your previous experience of mindfulness and the issues that you’d like to address. Clients find mindfulness really helpful for a wide range of issues including stress, anxiety, low mood, low self esteem, chronic health conditions to name just a few. Whether you choose a small group course or one to one sessions, the support you’ll get from me will usually involve a combination of psychoeducation on the attitudes, practices and benefits of mindfulness along with lots of lovely guided meditation practice and engaging discussion.

My teaching integrates key elements of the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) programmes. Both are evidence based and the latter is recommended by NICE, the National Instituted for Health and Care Excellence as a treatment for depression. I use a trauma informed approach, drawing on my skills and experience as a psychotherapist to help you feel safe, heard and understood.  I will endeavour to provide a comfortable, enjoyable and transformative experience for you as we embark on this journey of change together.  To help you to decide if I’m the right teacher for you, there is some more information on this page about my background and qualifications .
