4 week course, 2 hours per week. Suitable for parents with children of all ages. If you’ve ever read a ‘parenting’ book and felt more stressed afterwards than before, this may be the course for you! I will offer a nurturing, safe and non judgemental environment and will definitely not tell you how you ‘should’ parent. Rather, I will support you to become more aware and accepting of yourself as a parent and your own unique challenges in this role. I hope to empower you to parent in a more mindful, peaceful and pleasurable way. The course is based around ‘four pillars’ of peaceful parenting: self awareness; self regulation; self compassion and self trust. In summary, this course will support you to:
Become mindful of how the ways that you were parented influence your own parenting style
Become mindful of how your expectations around having children impact your parenting
Develop effective tools for nurturing yourself and regulating your emotions in challenging situations
Tune out the many external voices which tell us how we ‘should’ parent and tune into your internal intuition and wisdom
Become more compassionate towards yourself in your parenting role and develop effective tools for self care
